An 18-month-old boy died Sunday afternoon after an oven range fell on him, Las Vegas police said. The toddler's name was not released by authorities. Lt. Ted Snodgrass said the boy was in an apartment at 4760 E. Charleston Blvd., near Nellis Boulevard, when the oven range came down on him and crushed him. Police were alerted to the incident about 2:40 p.m.
Snodgrass said the child was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Snodgrass said the Metropolitan Police Department's Abuse and Neglect Detail and the county's Department of Family Services are investigating.
